Banana bread

Everyone’s favorite way to use up brown bananas 🍌

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup white whole wheat flour
  • 0.67 cup sugar
  • 0.5 cup rolled oats
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 overripe bananas
  • 2 eggs
  • 0.33 cup whole buttermilk
  • 0.25 cup vegetable oil
  • 1.5 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease a loaf pan and set aside.
  3. Put all ingredients in mixing bowl, stir with stand mixer until smooth.
  4. Pour batter in loaf pan - should be about half-ish full.
  5. Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool before cutting.

Notes

  • Frozen bananas are fine, but bring to room temperature first.
