Quiche
Easy breakfasts made in advance, tons of variations.
Ingredients
- 1 pie crust
 - 4 eggs
 - 1 cup half and half
 - 1 cup cheese, shredded or crumbled
 - (mix ins, see notes)
 - Salt and pepper, to taste
 
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
 - Mix 4 eggs, half and half, and salt and pepper. Set aside.
 - Put cheese and any other mix-ins into pie crust.
 - Pour egg mixture into pie crust.
 - Bake 40-50 minutes, until toothpick comes out clean.
 
Notes
- No need to be picky about the pie crust, pre-made is fine. Non-flaky crusts work well too.
 - Variations include
    
- bacon, breakfast sausage, or chorizo
 - spinach and feta
 - everything bagel seasoning and cream cheese (instead of shredded cheese)
 - no meat, extra cheese!
 - fresh spring herbs (chives, chervil, parsley, tarragon, etc.)
 - caramelized onions
 - fresh onions and bell peppers
