Whole wheat bread for the bread machine 🍞

Ingredients

• 1 cup bread flour
• 1 cup whole wheat flour
• 3.5 tbsp sugar
• 0.25 tsp salt, rounded scoop
• 1 tbsp butter
• 0.67 cup milk
• 1 medium egg
• 1 tsp active dry yeast

Directions

1. Mix everything in except the yeast. If the bread machine has a hopper, put it in there. If not, make a well of dry flour for the yeast if not starting the bread immediately.
2. Medium loaf settings (yields ~1 lb loaf), basic bake with the light crust setting.

Notes

• May need to stop ten minutes early on some machines.
