BBQ sauces
Flavor your stuff. WIP as I add more here … 😊
North Carolina vinegar sauce
- 1 quart cider vinegar
- 0.33 cup crushed red pepper
- 1.5 teaspoons black pepper
- 1 tablespoon salt
Use less crushed red pepper to turn down the heat.
Kentucky bourbon sauce
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 0.5 cup sugarcane molasses
- 0.5 cup apple cider vinegar
- 0.5 cup bourbon
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Alabama white sauce
- 2 cups mayonnaise (real mayo, no fake stuff)
- 1 cup distilled white vinegar
- 0.5 cup apple juice
- 2 tsp prepared horseradish
- 2 tsp ground black pepper
- 2 tsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp cayenne pepper
No cook - just mix and let sit!
South Carolina mustard sauce
- 0.75 cup yellow mustard
- 0.5 cup honey
- 0.25 apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce
Tonkatsu sauce (Japanese BBQ)
- 0.33 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon mirin
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder
